In New Country is veel aandacht voor nieuwe muziek uit Nashville, de Amerikaanse single- en albumlijsten, elke week een recente “CD van de week”, en de maandartiest. Verder is er country van eigen bodem, en tenslotte komt ook de country uit het verleden aan bod, met grote namen als Hank Williams , Dolly Parton en Willie Nelson tot “the man in black” Johnny Cash en Garth Brooks. Wanneer de gelegenheid zich aandient is er een speciale uitzending; bijvoorbeeld na het overlijden van John Denver enkele jaren geleden.
Op de laatste maandag van elk jaar is er de speciale uitzending In The New Country Music Express, met het jaaroverzicht van collega’s Hanneke v d Hei (van Radio Nashville International) en J.T. van Houdt (Vechtdal FM).
New Country is elke maandavond van 20:00 – 22:00 uur te beluisteren en wordt samengesteld en gepresenteerd door Bauke van der Vliet.
